China is one more step closer to clean energy after developing a 100,000-tonne green methanol project within its northeastern region. The project has been developed in Liaoning province and is just the first step of an even bigger green fuel plan that has been devised to reduce carbon footprints and encourage sustainable energy consumption. The combination of renewables and biomass for generating green fuels demonstrates that there is a worldwide trend of switching to low-emission fuels as well as encouraging companies to find eco-friendly solutions in their operations, for example, in aviation and shipping. Such initiatives could play a crucial role in accelerating the global transition toward a more sustainable and low-carbon future.
