A County Durham MP has predicted things will "come to a head" next week in the ongoing partygate scandal despite the situation around Boris Johnson 'calming down' in recent days.
Reports of a plot to oust Boris Johnson have been circulating in recent days, in the wake of severe criticism over the admission he attended a party at Downing Street during lockdown .
Things came to a head on Wednesday when Bury South MP Christian Wakeford defected from the Conservatives to Labour in the run-up to Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday, followed by ex- Brexit Secretary David Davis calling on Mr Johnson to resign during PMQs.
