North Korea on Sunday carried out a launch of a "suspected ballistic missile," the Japanese Prime Minister's office said, while South Korea's military reported that Pyongyang had fired an "unidentified projectile" into the East Sea.
In an update later in the day, Japanese Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi said North Korea had launched "at least one ballistic missile from near its eastern coast towards the northeast" at around 3 pm local time.
