The North East is set for a sunny start to the week with the Met Office predicting a dry and bright Monday.
Temperatures could get as high as 11°C in the afternoon with less than 5% chance of rain predicted for the entirety of the day. These conditions are expected to continue into Tuesday, with temperatures possibly reaching 12°C.
The Met Office said: "Another fine and bright day after a chilly start, with prolonged sunshine once any patchy morning cloud clears away. Maximum temperature 11 °C."
