While the working week kicked off shiny and bright, hump day looks to see a change in the conditions and climate - with wind and rain expected to land across the North East.
The forecast for Wednesday is bleak from the start and throughout, with overcast skies bringing heavy rain by midday. Highs of 9C and lows of 8C are expected to accompany.
And the showers are set to roll into Thursday too, with heavy rain predicted early in the morning and light showers around midday.
