The wintery North East weather is set to continue over the next couple of days with temperatures remaining in the single figures.
Tuesday (22 November) is set to start off with heavy showers, but things will dry up by lunchtime - although it is still forecast to be a largely overcast day. The Met Office predicts a "cloudy, cool and damp" day across the North East, with chances of some bright intervals later on and highs of 9°C.
Wednesday (23 November) is expected to be similarly cloudy, with some clear skies by the early evening. The outlook for Wednesday to Friday predicts blustery showers with some clearer spells in between, with the mornings getting off to a cold start and some overnight frost in some spots.
