Although North East residents may be put off venturing outside on Saturday due to heavy rain and grey skies as they rise, they may be more tempted as sunnier intervals float in by lunchtime.
According to the Met Office, any dark clouds which may have began forming over night will slowly dissipate by 11am - with a brilliant and bright afternoon soon approaching.
The weather experts say that the rain will keep at bay after overcast skies fade to blue in the morning - with <5 per cent precipitation expected for the most part of Saturday. Highs of 14C and lows of 8C are expected in accordance.

Sunday will kick off sunny but will soon see clouds drift in with slightly warmer temperatures of 15C and 11C expected. It is also anticipated that Sunday will remain dry.
Regarding tomorrow's weather, the Met Office, said: "Isolated showers during Saturday morning, but generally becoming largely dry and sunny in the afternoon. Feeling cooler than yesterday due to light northerly winds, despite the sunshine. Maximum temperature 15 °C."
