South Shields masked gunman blasted shotgun through mum's door in alleged plot to murder her partner
A masked gunman blasted a shotgun through the front door of a mum's home in an alleged plot to murder her partner, a court heard.
Ryan Carr was allegedly the target of a planned hit after falling into a dispute with Aaron Giles. Mr Carr was at home with his partner and her young son when Giles is alleged to have tried to lure him out while a shooter lay in wait outside his home in South Shields.

A dad who got a 'NUFC cup winners' tattoo on his leg BEFORE the Carabao Cup final said he has no regrets.

The toon fan, who is dad to eight-year-old Honey, said: "I got it done on Thursday last week. I was booked in for a tattoo anyway and I said to my mates 'I might get it done'. When I did get it done they were like 'Jesus Christ, what have you done?'"
