North East pizza shop boss rinses negative Just Eat reviewers with cutting one-liners

A North East pizza shop has left the internet in hysterics, with its razor sharp comebacks to negative Just Eat reviews.

The Pizza Shop, which sits on Middlesbrough's Linthorpe Road, has accrued in excess of 2,700 reviews on the popular food ordering and delivery site - many of which are positive.

However, numerous criticisms have landed over the years - and it's safe to say that they didn't go unnoticed by the shop owners and account holders on Just Eat.

The Star reports that taking an unconventional approach to bad reviews to say the least, The Pizza Shop has penned a plethora of hilariously "honest and straightforward" responses to critiques - christening customers everything from "Mr Owt for nowt" to hot head chef Gordon Ramsay himself.

One disappointed diner spoke of how while their food was 'delivered in good time' by a 'lovely' driver, their meal turned up 'stale and cold and...literally came with about 10 chips'. And The Pizza Shop was quickly on the defensive, jibing: "You got your food fresh and hot.

"Also didn't realise we had an expert food critic who counts the chips in her food. Next time you order we will send you 20 chips. All you have done to whinge about everything you even counted the chicken parmo bites."

Another review compared their 'dry' food to 'chewing on cardboard', to which the shop clapped back: "Stop please exaggerating...Also, I've never chewed on cardboard that's a strange habit."

Here's a list of The Pizza Shop's most creative and ruthless comebacks -

  • "Delivery was late but not two hours. Did you have batteries in your clock?"
  • "Have you had lessons in over-exaggerating?"
  • "Mr. Owt for nowt comes to mind."
  • "Next time put the cooker on and cook yourself something, Delia Smith."
  • "The term family kebab doesn't mean it will feed an entire family"
  • "Have you thought about going into acting?"
  • "Please Gordan Ramsey if you are such a food expert why don't you cook more food at home instead of ordering takeaways?"
  • "Alfie all the cakes were fresh. Only thing which was off tonight was your mood."
