North East hour-by-hour Met Office weather forecast for Bonfire Night 2022

Revellers heading out for fireworks displays this Bonfire Night will need to wrap up warm, but waterproofs won't be essential.

Earlier in the week, the Met Office had predicted rain and strong winds, and while that will still be the case for much of the morning and into the early afternoon, a couple of sunny spells are expected ahead of a clear and dry night.

Sunday is expected to be dry too, though for much of the day it will remain cloudy.

The Met Office said: "Thickening cloud and rain will soon spread eastwards, perhaps heavy at times and accompanied by strong winds. Some late brighter weather is possible as drier conditions arrive into the evening. Maximum temperature 12 °C."

The weather is expected to be clear on Bonfire Night, though it'll be wet and windy during the day (Newcastle Chronicle)
