A pizza parlour in Grangegorman wants to give to the "up and coming" community that "will be hopping".
Pizza Baker is a new pizza takeaway in the Dublin 7 area, it opened back on 4 November, 2021.
They had “a very quiet opening because of Covid restrictions”, but business is starting to boom in the area with their fresh topping pizzas, delicious sides, and mouth watering desserts.
Their pizzas are freshly made in house everyday and baked in a pan.
Shari Bourke, the Company Director for Grangegorman, told Dublin Live that they want to become a part of the latest community and enjoy life in the area.
She said: “Grangegorman is an up and coming area, it’s within Smithfield and Stoneybatter and in a year I think it will be hopping.
“It’s quirky now, there’s a lot of niche places, it’s great to see. Hopefully it’ll be thriving with businesses going back to normal. It’ll be a great atmosphere.
“We opened on Christmas Day to feed the homeless, we want to do it again on another day during the year. We want to give back to the community as well, like the Simon Community and in March we’re sponsoring the hockey team in TUD, we’re sponsoring the local cricket club too.
“We want to help out in the Dublin 7 area and give back to the community. It’s nice to have it back, you crave the interaction with people, it’s great for the city. It seems like a long two years.”
The Pizza Baker franchise is also based in Ballyfermot and Kimmage, they have a range of price-friendly items on the menu aimed at students and families.
In this day and age, they have made sure to supply various vegetarian options on the menu.
People also have the option to order gluten free bases and they’re on the verge of rolling out vegan products as there’s a demand for them in Grangegorman.
Shari explained: “The price is great for the standard and the quality, we would be targeting families, students and businesses.
“We cater for a lot of people, we’ve family feast meals, individual deals that are deals for students and there’s ten percent off the main menu for students in Grangegorman because we’re so near the university.”
