North Carolina family hired a petting zoo for a party. Weeks later, guests were lining up for rabies shots: ‘Overwhelming situation’

A North Carolina family said they hired a mobile petting zoo for a private gathering and later learned that baby goats at the event were part of a confirmed rabies investigation. Taty, who posts on TikTok as @tatyyv, shared a first-person video of a man receiving an injection in a hospital room. On-screen text in the clip read, “POV: You hire a petting zoo for a family event… and weeks later your entire family and guest are getting rabies shots.”

The video, which showed one of the shots, has gained 2.9 million views, 309,400 likes, and more than 4,500 comments. Additional on-screen text said, “Please don’t take our laughing the wrong way. we’re stressed, overwhelmed, and honestly using humor to cope with how crazy this situation is.” The man in the video, wearing a baseball cap and shorts, lay on a gurney while nurses prepared a syringe for his thigh and arms.
