The upcoming NBA trade deadline is forcing teams around the league to make moves, and we have a deal between the Portland Trail Blazers and L.A. Clippers.
As the dominoes fall into place, the Clippers have acquired two solid role players in Norman Powell and Robert Covington. In the process, they didn’t have to surrender a whole lot — they didn’t even have to give up a first-round pick for either.
If all goes according to plan, these two (likely) positive-impact contributors can help L.A. stay alive in the Western Conference as they hope to make the postseason.
In the process, they’re also significantly bolstering their depth in the event that either Paul George and/or Kawhi Leonard are able to make their return this season.
