Nominees list: Critics Choice Super Awards reveal best action, sci-fi and superhero movies and shows of the year

The best action, science fiction and superhero movies of the year have been announced as the Critics Choice Association releases its nominees for the Super Awards.

The Batman leads the film nominations with six, including best superhero movie and best actor in a superhero movie.

Evil, House of the Dragon, The Boys and What We Do in the Shadows have tied for the most television nominations, with four nods each.

Australian Milly Alcock has earnt a nomination for best actress in a science fiction/fantasy series for her role as Rhaenyra in House of the Dragon.
