All of Europe's eyes will be on us in the coming weeks as the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 arrives in the city.
Liverpool is hosting the competition on behalf of last year's winner Ukraine which is unable to stage the show due to Russia's illegal invasion. But no one throws a party quite like Liverpool and the city is currently counting down the days until the Eurovision festivities get underway.
The National Lottery is getting the party started with its Big Eurovision Welcome being staged at St George's Hall on Sunday, May 7. Local legends Frankie Goes to Hollywood are reuniting for the free concert which will also feature the Lightning Seeds, Atomic Kitten, The Real Thing and Eurovision royalty Conchita Wurst and Jamala.

Now we've joined forces with the event organisers to help find inspirational Merseyside women to join in the celebrations. Liverpool is a city inspired by great women who have led to positive community change and advances in health and justice.
But we're looking for the unsung community heroes, often ordinary people doing extraordinary things, who deserve their moment in the spotlight. They won't just be watching the celebrities on stage, they will be joining them. And they'll get to take along their best female friend for the ride.
We're looking for mums, nans, dinner ladies, nurses, neighbours or care workers - the list is endless. Please email takepart@tbimedia.co.uk by 00.00 on Tuesday, May 2 with your nominations. Don't forget to say why the deserve to win and include a contact number.
The National Lottery's Big Eurovision Welcome will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Monday, May 8, as part of a special programme, Eurovision Welcomes The World.
