What is Nolimit City?
Nolimit City is a B2B game studio founded around 2013 in Malmö, Sweden by co-founder Jonas Tegman and a small team, first shown publicly at ICE London 2013 with a single game. It has built a reputation for extreme volatility and dark, cinematic themes.
It was acquired outright by Evolution in August 2022, in a deal reported at up to €340m (~£287m), and Nolimit City now sits alongside NetEnt, Red Tiger and Big Time Gaming as an Evolution-owned studio brand.
Nolimit City mechanics include proprietary xNudge, xSplit, xPays and xBomb features. Several titles carry max win potential up to 150,000x stake (e.g. San Quentin, Fire in the Hole 2), and this is the studio's core differentiator.
Nolimit City Limited holds two active UKGC remote licences - Gambling Software Remote and Game Host (Casino) Remote (account 052097-R-329532-010), both live since 26 October 2018, with a head office in St Julian's, Malta.

Key points to know about Nolimit City online casinos
Below, we’ve run through some of the key things to consider when using the top Nolimit City online casinos:
Volatility: Nolimit City slots are genuinely higher-risk than most UK-licensed content. Several titles market max win multipliers of 100,000x-150,000x stake, which means far longer losing streaks are normal, not a fault in the game.
Licensing layers: Nolimit City's own UKGC software licence covers the game content itself, not any individual casino site. Always check the operator's own UKGC licence separately on the public register before depositing.
Distribution: Since the Evolution acquisition in 2022, Nolimit City's content runs on Evolution's wider distribution network, so its games are now more widely available across UK operators than in its earlier independent years.
Bonus wagering cap: The UKGC capped bonus wagering requirements at a maximum of 10x, effective 19 January 2026.
Common mistakes with Nolimit City casinos
There are several misconceptions that players can come across when researching top Nolimit City casinos. These include:
- Assuming there's a standalone ‘Nolimit City casino’ to join: It's a B2B game studio, and players always sign up with a licensed UK operator instead of Nolimit City directly.
- Confusing Nolimit City's ownership with NetEnt's, Red Tiger's or Big Time Gaming's: While Evolution now owns all four studios, they remain separate brands with their own catalogues, not merged content.
- Treating headline max-win figures (100,000x+) as a realistic or frequent outcome: These are theoretical maximums, not expected returns. RTP and volatility ratings are the more useful figures for setting expectations.
