Nokia launches first mobile phone network on the Moon

Nokia Moon Earth Intuitive Machines NASA

The Nova-C lander - (Intuitive Machines and Nokia Bell Labs)

The first-ever mobile network on the Moon is due to go live on Thursday in collaboration with a NASA space mission.

It comes as part of the ongoing Intuitive Machines’ IM-2 mission which, by utilising a Nova-c lunar lander, aims to measure the potential presence of resources from lunar soil that could be extracted and used to produce fuel or breathable oxygen.
