No verdict, no final ruling: What happens next in the Lindsay Clancy murder case as lawyers fight over a retrial

The first murder trial of Lindsay Clancy ended without a verdict. Now the Massachusetts case has entered a new legal phase, with the court weighing arguments that could determine whether prosecutors get another chance to try her.

Clancy, who is 36 years old, appeared in Plymouth Superior Court again on Tuesday, after her case ended in a mistrial on September 4. This was due to the failure of the 12-man jury to reach a unanimous verdict.
