Spain have left Sergio Ramos and Thiago Alcantara out of their World Cup squad, along with Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella.
Head coach Luis Enrique on Friday confirmed the 26-man squad for the Qatar tournament, which kicks off on November 20, and has opted for a youthful squad.
Barcelona's Ansu Fati, who last appeared for La Roja over two years ago due to form and fitness has made the cut and is joined by Barca team-mates Pedri Gonzalez (19) and Gavi Paez (18).
Chelsea defender Cucurella is perhaps a surprise omission, but Blues team-mate Kepa Arrizabalaga was expected to miss out due to injury. There is still no room for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
The squad will on Monday travel to Jordan for a friendly against the national team on November 17 before their final destination of Doha for the World Cup.
Spain's opening match is against Group E opponents Costa Rica on November 23, following by games against Germany and Japan.
