Reports across the country have claimed Asda is the latest supermarket to start charging people a £99 deposit taken straight from their card or bank before drivers are allowed to fill up with fuel.
Changes are being made to the way pay-at-pump payments work at forecourts across the country, in rules supermarkets rolled out last year.
But some have become confused about the way the system will work, and are claiming Asda will take now £99 out of your account before you are allowed to put petrol in your car.
