SHIMLA: Promising stern action against the one who killed a 15-year-old girl at Amb in Una district, Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said on Monday that he had sent director general of police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu to the spot and talked with the girl’s father over telephone to convey his condolences and see what help the family needed.
The CM told the media: “The incident was unfortunate and there will be no mercy for the culprit. The man is under arrest and the government will ensure that he gets the punishment he deserves for this inhuman act.” In connection with the murder of the girl student from Amb subdivision’s Pratapnagar locality, police had arrested Asif Mohammad (23) of Amb on April 7. tnn
