There was no evidence that Archie Battersbee was taking part in an online blackout challenge, a coroner has said.
Essex’s senior coroner Lincoln Brookes, presiding over a pre-inquest review hearing into the death of the 12-year-old said there was “no evidence at this stage to substantiate the concern”.
The inquest also heard that police found messages on the boy's phone reflecting 'very low mood'.
