The mother of reported Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe has denied her son has signed a new deal at Paris Saint-Germain, stating there is ‘no agreement.’
Reports earlier tonight from Le Parisien had suggested that Mbappe had agreed in principle to sign a new contract to keep him at PSG for the next two years. Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Frenchman, but Real Madrid were heavy favourites to secure his signing on a free this summer and had a £137m bid rejected last summer by PSG.
It seemed as though the Spanish side would be missing out on their main target. However, the French international’s mother released a statement denying that a deal had been agreed with the French club.
She said, per Fabrizio Romano: “There’s NO agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain or any other club. Discussions around Kylian’s future continue in great serenity to allow him to make the best choice, in the respect of all the parties.”
