New Delhi: According to some media reports, the INDIA bloc has offered two key positions - Deputy Prime Minister for Nitish Kumar and special status for Andhra Pradesh - to lure two NDA partners, including the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) to lure them into the fold of INDIA bloc.
As per the latest counting trends, the INDIA bloc is unlikely to reach the magic figure of 272 seats, but a strategic combination could still propel the Congress-led alliance to the government formation at the Centre.
The counting of votes of Lok Sabha polls 2024 is underway, but indications suggest the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will secure a narrow victory.
BJP is coming out as the single largest party, but may not be able to achieve half way mark of 272 on its own. (with Agency inputs)
