Nintendo Direct confirmed for tomorrow, with 50 minutes of announcements followed by a massive Treehouse: Live stream

An Inkling looking shocked as she stares at the Smash Bros. logo in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate reveal trailer.

Nintendo has confirmed that the rumored Nintendo Direct for June 9, 2026, will be happening as Summer Game Fest continues.

Last week, rumors emerged that a new Nintendo Direct – the first proper one since last September – would be airing this week on June 9, and despite the Nintendo Today app missing its usual update time, Nintendo went for the swerve as it has now announced that the rumors are true, and a Nintendo Direct will be on the air at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST on June 9, 2026.

In a follow-up post, Nintendo confirms that the Nintendo Direct will run for 50 minutes. In a press release, it states that the Direct will be "focusing on games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch this year."

Directly following the stream is a new edition of Nintendo Treehouse: Live, which will run for a further 95 minutes – presumably showing off some of the big surprises from the Direct in more detail.

Obviously, we don't know exactly what games it will focus on, but it's probably a given that titles releasing in the near-future like Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven Groove, and Splatoon Raiders will show up. Plus, there's the rumored Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake and new Switch Sports release, which are likely on the cards after similar leaks have come true in recent months. Plus we're overdue updates on The Duskbloods and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.

Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, and we hope this goes better than the PC port.
