Nearly 90 percent of U.S. citizens now believe government corruption is widespread in Washington, D.C., according to a new poll.
The figure revealed by Gallup’s latest survey, which questioned 1,000 people between May and June, represents a 10-percentage point rise year-on-year and a two decade high. The number had largely held steady between 72 percent and 79 percent from 2010 to 2025.
