Nineties boyband star Christian Ingebrigsten has taken to Instagram to confirm he's become a father for the first time.
The singer, who is a member of boyband A1, announced the birth of his first child, a baby girl, with his partner Martine on Tuesday.
The nineties pop star captioned an Instagram post of his baby girl: "01:36 this morning we became parents to the most beautiful little girl. All is well with the three of us, and we feel so blessed and happy."
Christian's bandmate Mark Read was one of the first to congratulate the new parents as he commented: "The world just got a little brighter."
He subsequently shared a picture of his bandmate and partner Christine on his Instagram Story with the caption: "Welcome to the world little one."
H for Steps also commented on the post and wrote: "Congratulations!!! Let the fun begin!!!"
Fans of the nineties boyband A1 congratulated the couple on their first child together.
One wrote: "Woo.. so Happy Chris congratulation for both of you @christian_ingebrigtsen and @mdoenheim.. Welcome to the world beautiful little girl," and another said: "Congrats @christian_ingebrigtsen and @mdoenheim on the arrival of your beautiful little girl! Another addition to the a1 family!"
Another A1 fan pointed out: "All girl-dads....congrats! I see a new future girlband coming with Sofia, Amelia and Skylar."
Christian had not previously announced that he and Martine were expecting a baby together.
The singer rose to fame as one member of boyband A1, that was formed in 1998, along with Mark, Paul Marazzi and Ben Adams.
In 2002, Paul left the band citing personal reasons and the group decided to split before going on to have solo careers.
Christian, Mark and Ben later reunited as a trio without Paul, releasing albums Waiting for Daylight in 2010 and Rediscovered in 2012.
The A1 trio went on to take part in ITV2 show The Big Reunion but Paul later rejoined the band with Ben announcing a 20th anniversary celebration tour in 2018.
