January sales aren't strictly limited to the shops - many of Liverpool's popular restaurants and bars are also running special discounts and deals throughout the month.
With the Christmas period being notoriously expensive and the cost of living crisis forcing many of us to cut back, enjoying a meal out at a restaurant can feel like quite a costly treat. Luckily, some of the city's much-loved venues are offering diners discounts throughout January, meaning you can eat out for less.
We've put together a guide to some of the best dining deals in Liverpool this month, with something to suit a range of tastes and budgets.

Lu Ban
Stanhope Street restaurant Lu Ban is celebrating the arrival of the new year with a special 25% dining discount. The offer can be enjoyed by Lu Ban regulars and new guests and applies to dishes on the restaurant's main menu, set menu and chef's table menu.
Additionally, parties of six or more adults who dine in January and February will receive a complimentary bottle of champagne with their meal. The offer does not apply to bottomless brunch or any already discounted menus. A full list of savings can be found on the Lu Ban website.
Maray
Maray, which has branches on Bold Street and at the Royal Albert Dock, is running a special Green January promotion in time for Veganuary. The promotion runs throughout January and entitles diners to 50% off all vegetarian and vegan dishes from the main menu (excluding desserts) from Monday to Thursday
No booking is required, although the restaurant does recommend it in order to avoid disappointment. The offer is valid for maximum table sizes of seven. A full list of terms and conditions can be found on the Maray website.
Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut has launched a new January deal, enabling diners to eat out for less. The popular restaurant chain is running the £9.99 Light Lunch Deal, which includes any flat bread, unlimited salad and a bottomless drink. The offer is available until 5pm every weekday throughout January.
El Gato Negro
Exchange Flags restaurant El Gato Negro is inviting diners to enjoy three small plates for £18 when they visit from Tuesday to Friday. Diners are encouraged to book in advance in order to avoid disappointment.
The three for £18 deal is available all day Tuesday to Thursday and 12pm to 5pm every Friday throughout January. To find out more, visit the restaurant's website.
Almost Famous
Almost Famous is located on Parr Street and is known for its mouth-watering selection of burgers. The restaurant chain is offering half price burgers from 2pm Sunday to Friday throughout January.
Turtle Bay
Turtle Bay is offering customers £10 off their bill. To claim the discount, all you need to do is download the Turtle Bay App and you will be rewarded with £10 that you can use until February 16, 2023.
Gusto
Gusto is offering its Gold Rewards members 50% off during January. Those who are signed up can enjoy 50% off when they dine from the restaurant's A La Carte or party set menus until January 27. The offer is valid all day on Monday to Thursday, and until 5pm on Fridays. Those who are not a member can sign up now and will be able to make the most of the deal. Bistrot Pierre
Southport-based restaurant Bistrot Pierre is running a 'Dine Out for £10' deal throughout the month of January. The deal is available all day from Monday to Friday and includes a main dish. Alternatively, diners can upgrade to three courses for £15. The deal will run until February 13, 2023.
Down the Hatch
Located on Duke Street, Down the Hatch is a popular vegan and vegetarian restaurant. The venue is offering two for one burgers all throughout January. The deal is valid from Monday to Friday between 3pm and 9pm. The offer applies to burgers sold individually, as opposed to those which are part of a meal deal. The offer applies solely to burgers, and also includes gluten free options.
Castle Street Townhouse
Castle Street Townhouse is running a special offer this January. The city centre venue is offering 25% off food, as well as a drinks offer. You can purchase a bottle of Prosecco for £20, whilst pints of Grolsch are £3.50.
Mamasan
South East Asian-inspired restaurant Mamasan is offering diners 50% off throughout January. Guests can enjoy half price a la carte dishes including wok fried chilli jam chicken, a lobster fondue sharer and curry dishes. The discount can also be applied to Mamasan's vegan dishes - perfect for those doing Veganuary.
Revolution de Cuba
Located at the Royal Albert Dock, Revolution de Cuba has plenty of great offers for diners to enjoy this month. Guests can get 50% off their total food bill up until January 26. Additionally, on January 18, the first 10 diners to arrive at the restaurant will be greeted with a free burrito.
Bundobust
Bold Street restaurant Bundobust is running a special January promotion, offering diners a free gift. Those who sign up to the Bundobust mailing list this month can enjoy a free dish or pint. The Club House
The Club House has announced a weekly line-up of dining and drinking deals as well as one-off menu specials. From Monday to Thursday throughout January, the restaurant is running a two for one deal on its signature dishes. On Thursdays, there will be a buy one, get one free deal on double house gin and tonics. Happy Hour will last all day every Friday throughout January and will include Prosecco for £19.95, £4.50 house lager and two for £12 on all cocktails. The Club House is also serving up kids' roast dinners for £1 on Sundays when one adult roast is purchased. All offers run up to January 31.
Gino D'Acampo Old Hall Street and 360 Sky Bar
Diners can enjoy £10 off the cost of their bill at Gino D'Acampo Old Hall Street and 360 Sky Bar this month. The special offer is available seven days a week from midday to midnight and can be redeemed against all food and drink, meaning guests can enjoy £10 off Italian dishes, cocktails, coffees and more.
