Nikki Haley earns endorsement of major newspapers in New Hampshire

Nikki Haley is on a busy campaign schedule in New Hampshire.

Former Governor Nikki Haley is making a strong push in New Hampshire as she embarks on her second of six scheduled campaign stops in the state. Haley recently spoke with voters at Marianne's Diner in Derry and will later be joined on the road by New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, who has endorsed her candidacy. Two major local newspapers in the state have also shown their support for Haley by endorsing her for president.

Haley's commitment to New Hampshire is evident as she is the only candidate today with six campaign stops in the state. Her rivals, on the other hand, have just one campaign stop each. At a recent event held at a middle school, Haley addressed a crowd of about 150 people before wrapping up the session. To conclude her busy day, she will hold a rally alongside the popular television personality, Judge Judy, who has also endorsed her candidacy.

In her effort to reach voters, Haley has invested almost $30 million in TV ads in the Granite State. This financial commitment surpasses that of her competitors, with her spending more than double the amount of former President Donald Trump and nearly quadruple that of Governor Ron DeSantis. Just yesterday, Haley released a new three-minute ad in New Hampshire, featuring an endorsement from the mother of Otto Warmbier, who tragically lost his life while being held captive by North Korea. Warmbier's mother praised Haley for her support and encouragement in seeking justice for her son.

During her campaign, Haley has taken a stance against cozying up to dictators, which she criticized the former President for. She highlighted Trump's controversial relationship with Kim Jong-un of North Korea, expressing her disapproval of his approach. Haley believes that befriending dictators and thugs with harmful intentions goes against effective foreign policy.

The Boston Globe editorial board has also joined the ranks of Haley's supporters, giving her their endorsement. The paper urges independent voters, who usually participate in the Democratic primary, which is non-competitive this year, to cast their votes in the Republican primary. The board emphasizes the importance of preventing a second term for former President Trump and suggests that voting in the Republican primary would have a more significant impact on the outcome.

Notably, New Hampshire allows independent or undeclared voters to vote in the Republican primary, while registered Democrats are not permitted to participate. With the anticipation of record turnout on Election Day, all eyes are on Haley as she continues her campaign efforts in the key state of New Hampshire.
