Nigella Lawson has been confirmed as the new judge on The Great British Bake Off, replacing Dame Prue Leith, Channel 4 has announced.

Dame Prue, who joined the series in 2017 following its move from the BBC, revealed last week that she would be stepping down from the programme, saying the time felt right to “step back”.
