Weston McKennie looks like being the next player through the door at Elland Road with Juventus’ financial problems providing an opportunity for Leeds to prise away the USA international.
McKennie has made 21 appearances for Juve this season, including five in the Champions League and his signing would represent something of a coup for Jesse Marsch - provided a fee can be agreed.
The signs are, however, that the spending wouldn’t end there with a number of other players still being heavily linked with United.
We have picked out six of the most prominent and want to know your views via our Swerve or Swoop tool.
AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo is reported to be valued around £31m to £35m and is also interesting Tottenham, West Ham, AC Milan and… Bournemouth. Would a move for the Italy international represent good value or would Leeds be better off targeting a midfielder enforcer? Leece captain Morten Hjulmand fits the bill and at a reported £16m, the 23-year-old would certainly provide more bang for United's buck.
Talking of money, Angers midfielder Azzedine Ounahi has seen his valuation soar since starring at the World Cup with Morocco. An overwhelming winner in our Rank Your Targets poll, with his asking price having almost doubled to £25m, is it now time for Leeds to walk away?

Club Brugge goalkeeper Senne Lammens is said to ‘want to leave’ the Belgian side but would you be happy for him to turn up at Elland Road?
And amid all the talk of big-money signings, would it perhaps be more prudent for Leeds to target emerging talent?
Servette defender Diogo Monteiro, who turns 18 this week, has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, while Valencia’s 19-year-old full-back Jesus Vasquez is also believed to be interesting United.
Should Leeds try to land them both? Or would you gladly swerve the lot and sign someone else entirely? Let us know your thoughts in our Swerve or Swoop tool above or in our comments section.
