Nicole Kidman hints at tough time following Keith Urban split

Nicole Kidman has made a candid admission following her split from Keith Urban.

The actress, 58, hinted she’s had a difficult time after breaking up with her ex-husband in a new chat with Ariana Grande.

The pair were speaking to each other for Interview magazine, and when Ariana asked how Nicole was, she replied: “I’m hanging in there.”

Nicole also told the popstar she felt supported while filming the follow-up to Practical Magic this summer, before the news of her relationship breakdown surfaced.

“Sandy Bullock and I, and then Joey King and Maisie [Williams] — we had an incredible cast,” she said about the new film, adding that the project was “so fun”.

“But I have such a strong relationship with all those women, so I felt protected and loved,” she said. “It was just very, very safe.”

Nicole filed for divorce from the country music star, 57, last month in Nashville, citing “irreconcilable differences” after 19 years of marriage.

Court filings, obtained by the Daily Mail and E! News, include a child support worksheet that lists the pair’s monthly earnings at $100,000 (£74,000) each.

The documents also outlined a parenting agreement for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, which is awaiting a judge’s approval.

The figures reflect the pair’s substantial wealth.

Nicole, who was the eighth highest-paid actor of 2024 with reported earnings of $31 million (£23 million), has an estimated net worth of $250 million (£185 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Meanwhile, Keith, a four-time Grammy winner, is estimated to be worth $75 million (£56 million).

The Standard contacted both Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s reps for comment at the time.

Speaking about the her upcoming tour, she said: “I feel really grateful and excited about it in a way that feels so different to me.

“I spent a lot of time redoing my system when it comes to making music. With Eternal Sunshine, that felt like a very different experience for me.”
