Solicitors representing bereaved families in the Scottish and UK Covid inquiries have demanded clarity over the status of Nicola Sturgeon’s WhatsApp messages.
Lawyers acting on behalf of the former SNP leader have claimed she did not have any relevant informal correspondence – such as private messages or emails – relating to the handling of the pandemic.
Aamer Anwar, lead solicitor for the Scottish Covid Bereaved group, insisted it should be a matter for inquiry officials to determine what information is considered relevant.
