Scotland's first minister Nicola Sturgeon is reportedly set to resign after more than eight years.
Ms Sturgeon is due to hold a press conference at Bute House at 11am on Wednesday, February 15, where according to the BBC, she expected to make the shock announcement.
It is currently unclear when Ms Sturgeon would leave her role at first minister, having taken on the role from Alex Salmond in 2014. However, it has been suggested that she will not leave the role until a new leader has been elected

A source close to the first minister reported that she has "had enough." Ms Sturgeon is currently Scotland's longest-serving first minister.
