Nicola Sturgeon has announced all covid restrictions implemented around the festive period on pubs and restaurants will be lifted next week.

The First Minister revealed that due to the slowing down of Omicron cases there could be a lifting of restrictions across the country.

During an announcement to the Scottish Parliament earlier this afternoon, she announced that nightclubs, which have been closed for a number of weeks, can reopen as usual from Monday, January 24.
