Nicola Sturgeon has called for a General Election following an eventful night for the Conservatives.
The First Minister described the scenes in the Commons on Wednesday evening as an "utter shambles" following claims the chief whip has resigned.
The Spectator reports chief whip Wendy Morton has quit and it is also believed that her deputy Craig Whittaker has quit.
It comes as former home secretary Suella Braverman quit earlier this evening.
Posting on Twitter, Sturgeon said: "An utter shambles. This can’t go on. General Election now."
The news comes after a Labour motion that would have forced a vote on a bill to ban fracking was defeated in the Commons.
In further drama, Labour MP Chris Bryant claimed senior Tories had "physically manhandled" an MP into the "no" lobby over the fracking vote.
He told Sky News: "It was Alex Stafford. He was to my mind physically manhandled into the lobby."
Bryant also claimed Therese Coffey and Jacob Rees-Mogg were among a group shouting at several cabinet ministers. Both have denied all allegations of bullying and physical manhandling.
