Nicola Roberts said at times she wanted "to strangle" her Strictly Come Dancing partner Giovanni Pernice as they strived for "perfection".
This Christmas, six celebrities will battle it out in the hope of winning the Strictly glitterball. The Strictly festive special will see CBeebies presenter George Webster dancing with professional Amy Dowden and actor Larry Lamb with Nadiya Bychkova.
Soap actress Alexandra Mardell will dance with Kai Widdrington, DJ Rickie Haywood-Williams with Luba Mushtuk and podcaster Rosie Ramsey will be partnered with Neil Jones.

The remaining contestant, Nicola, will take on the Waltz with Giovanni. Speaking about her experience filming the special, Nicola told The One Show: "It was so much fun honestly. It's just the one show. It's a good few week's training though and filming days but it's just the one show."
She added: "Gio is a great teacher. He's a perfectionist as am I. There definitely were moments in the rehearsal studio. The waltz is so technical and so different to anything I've done before. I mean band dancing where the audience is just at the front, you don't necessarily have to think about the ground, the technical element, the neck position.
"I don't necessarily like the learning process, I lose concentration, but Gio was like 'again, again, again!'. I was grateful because when I finally got to do the waltz, I was prepared and I knew I had followed direction as much as I could. As much as during the rehearsal process I might have wanted to strangle him.
"I was glad that I left the ballroom thinking okay I think I did a good job of the Waltz."
Last year saw singer Anne-Marie and professional dancer Graziano Di Prima crowned the winner of the 2021 Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day.
