Nicola Peltz ‘planning second wedding’ with Brooklyn Beckham after ‘nightmare’ ceremony

Nicola Peltz is believed to be planning a second wedding to husband Brooklyn Beckham to mark their first anniversary after their “nightmare” first ceremony.

The new claims come as the actress’ father, Wall Street billionaire Nelson Peltz, filed a £132,000 lawsuit against her wedding planners.

Now according to a new report, the 28-year-old, who married Beckham, 23, last April, now wants a second ceremony to have a “positive, happy day” after all of the “stress” of their first, which reportedly cost an eye-watering £2.85 million.

A source told Closer: “The whole thing was a nightmare. She was far from completely happy with the wedding, the build-up with the three different planners, and associates it now with rows, issues and tension.

“She’s told Brooklyn she feels like it still has an impact on their relationship, and has even said she finds it tricky looking at the wedding pictures. It just reminds her of all the drama, with them both looking so tense.

“So there has been talk of having a new wedding ceremony for their first anniversary. She wants to redo the original day with a new dress, new pictures and a new event – and despite the raised eyebrows, she wants an even more lavish do.”

The Standard has contacted Nicola Peltz’s rep for comment.

The couple said ‘I do’ in a lavish ceremony held at Peltz’s Palm Beach family residence in Florida last April, which saw guests such as Eva Longoria, Nicole Richie, former England footballer Phil Neville and TV chef Gordon Ramsay in attendance.

Despite the A-list guestlist and glossy Vogue spread, it has now come to light that Peltz’s self-made billionaire father is suing their former wedding planners, Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, for refusing to return a £129,000 deposit.

Peltz and his wife, former model Claudia Peltz, hired Braghin and Grijalba through their firm Plan Designs Events in March 2022 after their first planner, Preston Bailey, stepped down.

However, things quickly didn’t work out between them.

During their nine-day employment, it was reported that they failed to book a single new wedding vendor, finalise any of the vendors that had previously been selected by the Peltzes, and attend previously scheduled meetings with Peltz.

However, the wedding planners have counter-sued him and the rest of his family for £41,000 plus costs for breach of contract and “interference” in a 188-page lawsuit.

Having officially filed the lawsuit in Miami, private texts revealing intimate details of the bust-up have since been made publicly available on both sides.

In the wedding planner’s counter claim they painted Peltz as an unreachable bridezilla, who refused to answer calls but would occasionally drop texts into the group chat calling the guest list “a murder scene”, undermining the wedding planner’s ideas as “cringy” and lambasting the flowers for “not being white enough”.

The counter claim also revealed extremely high expenses, such as £82,800 on hair and make up for the bride that her mother Claudia tried to keep private.

A spokesman for Mr Peltz told The Standard previously that the planners’ complaint “is replete with inaccuracies and their claims have no merit”.
