Nicola Adams and Ella Baig have named their baby son Taylor Nate Adams - and have shared why they settled upon the adorable name.
Olympic champion boxer Nicola, 39, and Ella, 24, welcomed their first child together last month, beaming as they left the hospital together.
Speaking about being mums for the first time, Nicola said that it the "most amazing thing that's ever happened".
Joined by Ella, the couple said that their son was "progressing fast" after he was born prematurely and weighed just 3lb 14oz.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Ella recalled the moment her waters broke and she shouted at Nicola to ring the hospital.
"This is the point when everything feels worth the chaos and the long process of IVF. It’s the one outcome you’re waiting for," she said.
The couple embarked on their IVF journey by using Nicola's egg, which was fertilised with a sperm donor who resembled Ella.
Nicola said that watching Ella's body change and to see her give birth was "amazing", adding that she was "so proud" of her.
Opening up about why they had decided upon Taylor's name, Nicola explained: "We had a few names in mind because we wanted to see what he looked like first to see if the name suited him. We didn’t want to get stuck on one name and have to think of a new one if it didn’t work."
It comes after the couple previously revealed the news of their son's birth by sharing a photo of their son's feet.
"We are so excited to announce to the world that @babyadamsadventures has arrived," Nicola wrote at the time. "The first moment we laid eyes on you we felt an instant love and the strongest bond.
"We went to the moon and back to get you and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives watching you grow".
