Nicola Adams and her model girlfriend Ella Baig have revealed the name of their first child and shared their first official photo together.
The couple, who first announced they were expecting a child in February, introduced their new baby in a photoshoot with HELLO! Magazine. Nicola, 40, said: "My son being born is the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me. I can’t even explain the feeling – I felt this instant love."
Nicola and Ella revealed that the boy, who was born a month prematurely in July weighing just 3lb 14oz, is to be named Taylor Nate Adams, although the proud parents admit that they debated plenty of other potential names before finally coming to a decision.

Model and influencer Ella gave birth at 7.09 am on July 9 via Caesarean. She says baby Taylor has the same fighting spirit as Nicola, who retired from boxing in 2019 with an undefeated record, The Mirror reports.
Speaking to HELLO! She said: "I said he was a fighter when he was in my stomach and he’s definitely come out like that. He’s trying to do things he shouldn’t be able to do yet – like holding his own bottle. On the day he was born, I had him on my chest and he threw his head back."
Speaking about his birth, the couple said they had the surprise of their lives when Ella woke up in the early hours of July 8 and her waters had broken. Ella said: "I shouted to Nikki from the bathroom, 'You need to ring the hospital,' and she was like, 'Right – what’s their number?'."
Nicola and Ella met in 2018 and started IVF in 2020 using Nicola’s egg fertilised via a sperm donor who resembled Ella. "This is the point when everything feels worth the chaos and the long process of IVF," Ella said. "It’s the one outcome you’re waiting for."
Proud partner and parent Nicola said: "Seeing Ella’s body change and watching her give birth was amazing. I’m just so proud of her."
And on the decision to name the baby Taylor, Nicola added: "We had a few names in mind because we wanted to see what he looked like first to see if the name suited him. We didn’t want to get stuck on one name and have to think of a new one if it didn’t work."
