Professional boxer and Strictly Come Dancing star Nicola Adams' girlfriend, Ella Baig, has hit back at trolls who criticised her for breastfeeding in lingerie.
The model posted a snap of herself breastfeeding the couple's five-month-old son while donning sexy lingerie to her Instagram account. She has since been forced the defend her decision following comments that it is "inappropriate" and "sexualised."
The new mum was sporting a see-through underwear set complete with stockings and suspenders in the snap, as she fed her baby boy, Taylor Nate. She was soon hit with hate from keyboard warriors who labelled her "disgusting."
While Ella's snap was an attempt at portraying how she juggles lingerie modelling with being a mum, her post didn't go down well with everyone and she has now been forced to address the negative backlash. Posting to her Instagram stories, Ella said: "Seems like I ruffled some feathers with this one.
"In all honesty, this is the reality of my life. But why can't we be sexy while being a mum? Do the two have to be separate?
"Everyone is entitled to an opinion but we don't have to agree. Yes, I'm wearing sexy lingerie, but that doesn't erase everything else about me."
Ella continued: "Yes, I'm feeding my child but that doesn't then extinguish my sexuality. The two are not interchangeable, they co-exist."
Nicola and Ella met in 2018 and started IVF in 2020 using Nicola’s egg, fertilised via a sperm donor who resembled Ella. Model and influencer Ella later gave birth on July 9 at 7.09 am via Caesarean, and she says baby Taylor has the same fighting spirit as Nicola, who retired from boxing in 2019 with an undefeated record.
The pair previously introduced their new baby in a photoshoot with HELLO! magazine, at the time Nicola gushed: "My son being born is the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me. I can’t even explain the feeling – I felt this instant love."
