Nick Pope will be a 'little bit disappointed' with his distribution for England as 'other teams' continue to target the Newcastle United goalkeeper in possession. That is the view of David Seaman, who also expressed sympathy for the Magpies' number one's late 'mistake' in the Nations League draw with Germany.
Gareth Southgate's side overturned a two-goal deficit in a dazzling 12-minute spell at Wembley on Monday night, with a penalty from Harry Kane putting the hosts on course for a much-needed win. However, Pope spilled a dipping long-range shot from Serge Gnabry which presented Kai Havertz with a simple tap-in to equalise in the 3-3 draw.
Jordan Pickford's injury gave Pope an ideal opportunity to stake his claim ahead of this winter's World Cup. Newcastle's summer signing was helpless to prevent Giacomo Raspadori's winner for Italy on Friday night, and picked the ball out of his net three times against Germany.

Seaman questions whether Pope was caught in 'two minds' for Havertz's equaliser, leading to the fumble. England's former number one also cast doubt over the 30-year-old's passing ability, suggesting opponents are now quick to charge the goalkeeper while he is in possession.
Seaman told Sky Sports; "He'll be disappointed with Germany's third goal, there's no doubt [about that]. I don't know if he got caught in two minds as to whether to go horizontal, or try and stay vertical and use a scoop technique.
"It was a hard ball to deal with, but as a goalkeeper you have to hold your hands up. That's one that he fumbled, sometimes you get away with them, sometimes you don't.
"He'll be disappointed, and he'll also be a little bit disappointed with his distribution. It's something that other teams are looking at now, they're charging him down all the time.
"It's happened before, and I'm sure he's working really hard on it. But it was a chance for Nick, and sadly he makes a mistake that costs England a win."
