- Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has accepted a one-month suspension after testing positive for cocaine during an ATP Tour event in Mallorca in June 2026.
- The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) reduced his ban from three months to one month after accepting that the drug was used socially outside of competition and following his agreement to attend a treatment programme.
- The suspension has already concluded, as the ITIA backdated the provisional ban to run from 4 August 2026 to 3 September 2026.
- Kyrgios expressed deep disappointment in himself and apologised to his fans and family, attributing his actions partly to the mental toll of battling career-threatening knee and wrist injuries.
- The former Wimbledon finalist, whose ranking has fallen to 919 in the world, stated that the incident served as a wake-up call and confirmed he would take a 28-day break from social media to focus on his recovery.
