Nick Jonas rushes off stage after 'having laser pointed at him' at Prague concert

Nick Jonas stopped a gig and ran off stage after noticing a laser pointing at him from the audience, according to reports.

The Jonas Brothers singer, 32, was taking no chances and could be seen in fan captured footage looking panicked as he made a “time out” sign mid-show in Prague on Tuesday.

His siblings and bandmates Joe, 35, and Kevin, 36, remained on stage before also leaving, soon followed by the entire band.

Fans in attendance later claimed on social media that the show was stopped for several minutes after a laser incident before the band retook to the stage.

In the clip which was posted to TikTok, Nick can initially be seen sitting down on a chair before he abruptly stands up.

He then appears to look to security as he swiftly makes his way towards the stairs to exit the stage.

As he runs off, the Sucker hit-maker repeatedly makes a “time out” sign with his hands before increasing his speed and running out of sight.

While there has been no official comment as yet on the matter by the Jonas Brothers many shared their concern and frustration over on X, formerly Twitter.

“That's scary! Safety should always come first,” remarked one person. Adding: “It's unsettling that someone would do that during a concert. Glad Nick took precautions and hope security handled it quickly,”.

“Genuinely why would someone do this and ruin the show for everyone,” pondered another.

While a third remarked: “Safety always comes first, and Nick Jonas made the right call. No artist should ever feel threatened while performing. It's a reminder to respect boundaries and prioritise everyone's well-being,”.

The Standard have contacted the Jonas Brothers for comment.

The Jonas Brother are gearing up for their 20th anniversary as a band next year.

Back in the early noughties, their music videos became Disney Channel staples and they starred in their own reality TV show, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream.

Their real breakthrough however followed their appearance in the Disney movie musical Camp Rock, in which Joe played the romantic lead opposite Demi Lovato.
