Nick Jonas-backed nonprofit creates 8,400 insulin-access plans in 2025

Access to affordable insulin remains a challenge for people living with diabetes in the US, particularly those who struggle with insurance coverage or the cost of prescriptions. Singer Nick Jonas, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 13, has helped address this problem through Beyond Type 1 , the diabetes nonprofit he co-founded. Its GetInsulin programme connects people with financial assistance and savings options suited to their circumstances. According to the organisation’s 2025 Impact Report, the initiative created 8,400 personalised insulin-access plans during the year, with treatment costing almost always $35 a month or less.
