Nick Jonas and his wife Priyanka Chopra's daughter has been born 12 weeks early via surrogate.
The couple became parents last Sunday after they had been "wishing for a baby" for "quite some time".
Nick, 29 and Priyanka 39, who wed in 2018, shared the news with fans and loved ones on Instagram.
As their daughter wasn't due until April this year, she will need to stay in hospital until she is able to go home with her parents.
Nick shared a message on Instagram: "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate.
"We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family.
"Thanks so much," he added with a heart emoji.
An insider told the Daily Mail that the couple had been wanting to have a baby for "quite sometime" but added that their busy lives held them back.
"Priyanka doesn't have any fertility issues preventing her from having a baby, but she is 39 now so it's not getting any easier,' the source said.
"Their busy work schedules also mean that it's difficult for them to physically be together to conceive when she is ovulating, so some time ago they went down the surrogacy route.
"This is the woman's fifth surrogacy. They met her and really liked her.
"The baby had been due in April but the surrogate ended up giving birth on Sunday, so she was very premature," the insider added.
The source added that Priyanka was working to get her filming done so she was ready for the baby in April, but now their little one has arrived early she will have to reschedule.
Speaking of her desires to have a child, the Quantico star told Vanity Fair magazine: "They're a big part of our desire for the future. By God's grace, when it happens, it happens."
After she was quizzed on how they made it work with their equally busy work schedules, the 39-year-old said: "No, we're not too busy to practice."
The pair said they would "slow down" when they became parents, and Priyanka added: "My priority has always been the next job. I'm a very, very ambitious person. But I think the woman in me is craving balance.
''I'm craving my family life. I'm craving being able to do things for the soul that I didn't do because I was just 'blinders on' and working."

The source added that there were rumours that the couple were splitting, but called them "total nonsense".
"Nick and Priyanka are very happy together," the source added.
The pair met in 2016 after Nick slid into Priyanka's DMs and asked her to go on a date.
They played the long game though and swapped texts for a year but didn't meet until the 2017 Vanity Fair party.
