Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb received praise from fellow All-Pro running back Derrick Henry. Henry gave props to Chubb while discussing the running back position and one of the most elusive clubs in sports, the 10,000 rushing yards club. Henry is 368 yards away from the club’s door.
Henry is entering his ninth season in the league and is now an elder statesman at a position, where youth has become the most valuable attribute. Henry was complementary to Nick Chubb, his former SEC rival.
When Henry was asked who would be the next 10,000 yards rusher he blurted out “Nick Chubb for sure,” he added. “He’s a beast. He’s a different breed. Other than myself, that’s probably one of my favorite backs.”
The praise means a lot coming from Henry. 31 players in the NFL have run over 10,000 yards. Chubb currently sits at 6,511 yards through six seasons in the NFL. Unfortunately, it might be weeks until the Browns see Chubb on the field again. The Browns currently have no set date for Chubb’s return. Chubb is the most important player on the Browns’ offense. The team must ensure he’s fully healthy before they can rely on him to carry them to victory like in years past.
