The Cleveland Browns were hit with bad news as running back Nick Chubb is not expected to come off the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Chubb was placed on the PUP list before the start of training camp and has not practiced all summer long. That will drag into the season as ESPN’s Adam Schefter has stated that Chubb will now be set to miss at least four games for the Browns.
After missing four games, Chubb will be placed in a five-week window to begin practicing. Once Chubb was to begin practicing, the Browns would then have a three-week window to put their star running back onto their 53-man roster. There was optimism that Chubb would come off the PUP list this summer, but that has not come to fruition.
This means that Jerome Ford and D’Onta Foreman will man the backfield in Cleveland until Chubb returns to the field.
