Nichola Fryday Ireland Greg McWilliams Offaly

Nichola Fryday will be Ireland's captain in the 2022 TikTok Women's Six Nations, new head coach Greg McWilliams has revealed.

Exeter Chiefs' Fryday has been an ever-present in Ireland's second row since her debut against Canada five and a half years ago and succeeds Ciara Griffin in the role, who retired in November.

The 26-year-old from Offaly will lead Ireland out for the start of the championship against Wales at the RDS on Saturday (4.45pm).
