Niall Horan fan 'burst into tears' after seeing video from Liverpool night out

A fan who was on the hunt for Niall Horan said she "cried" after seeing a video posted into her friends' group chat.

Anna Harvey who lives in Liverpool City Centre, heard through word of mouth that Irish singer-songwriter, Niall Horan, was going to be in the city on Sunday, March 5 for Liverpool's match against Manchester United. The 21-year-old has "loved" Niall since she was in primary school and was "obsessed" with One Direction.

She told The ECHO she never got a chance to see Niall perform as part of One Direction and has wanted to meet him ever since.

She said: "I had all of the merchandise, a pillow which had a zip and pockets, the notebooks, everything. I never had the opportunity to meet him and I live in the city so when we heard he was going to be over here it wasn't hard for us to get ready and go looking.

"I was getting updates from my mates saying where he had been spotted and we went to loads of Irish bars. We went to Fitzgerald's, The Irish House and Dirty O'Sheas."

Anna said she checked five different bars between 8pm and 1am before "giving up" in Dirty O'Sheas. She added: "We got a corona and went home, we thought we were never going to find him."

It wasn't until the next morning that Anna's friend sent a message to her with a video which showed her walking straight past Niall Horan in Dirty O'Sheas.

"My friends sent it into the group chat I remember screaming for the girls to come in to the kitchen. I was heart broken, I have loved him for so long and I just walked straight past him, literally one meter away from him.

"My friends thought it was really funny but I just cried. Because we're all Irish he is like an icon for us."

Anna's friends made a TikTok video about what happened to her on Sunday, which now has almost half a million views and 60k likes.

One commenter said: "Praying for you. I would never recover."

Another added: "I would simply pass away."

People have also started tagging Niall Horan in the comment section of the video in the hope of him seeing the video and commenting.
